What is a Service Warranty Protection Plan?

A Service Warranty or Service Contract is similar to the warranty originally provided by the manufacturer of your equipment. It’s like having an insurance policy to protect you against any unexpected repair bills or breakdowns on your air conditioner, water heater, major appliances, plumbing and electrical.

 

An Atlas Services Service Warranty Protection Plan will cover minor and major repairs, covering parts and labor, with no cost to you on covered equipment. Our Extended Service Warranty Protection Plan will protect you for one full year from the date of purchase, and may be renewed year after year for a low price. When can I purchase an Extended Service Warranty Plan from Atlas Services?

You have the option to purchase an Atlas Services Extended Service Warranty at any time after your first year manufacturer’s warranty has expired, regardless of the age of your equipment. Coverage is available on your air conditioner, refrigerator, range, dishwasher, water heater, garbage disposal, washer, dryer, pool heater, plumbing and electrical.

What areas does Atlas Services cover?

We are currently providing full service to Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

What is replacement protection?

Replacement protection is additional coverage that may be purchased. It is so comprehensive that if we cannot repair your air conditioner, water heater or appliance, we will replace the system or appliance with a brand new piece of comparable equipment. Certain exclusions apply.

How much does an Atlas Services Extended Warranty cost?

The cost is very affordable and is based on the actual age of each piece of equipment that you which to cover. We have service protection plans for as little as $99 a year. The annual cost is certainly much lower than the out-of-pocket expenses associated with repair or replacement fees, each time one of your systems or appliances breaks.

Is Atlas Services licensed and bonded?

We are licensed and bonded to perform air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and appliance repairs and installations. We are also licensed by the State of Florida, Department of Insurance to sell Extended Service Warranty Protection Plans.

Is my contract guaranteed?

Yes. In order to guarantee our service contracts, the State requires the following:

 

  • We must maintain a $100,000 cash deposit with the State of Florida.
  • 25% of all monies collected are deposited into a special escrow account for the duration of the contract.
  • We must submit quarterly financial reports to the State.
Why should I purchase an Atlas Services Extended Service Warranty Protection Plan?

In relation to our industry, we have designed an extremely efficient business model. In this way, we are able to pass all the benefits on to you, the customer. These include unmatched quality service (we do not use outside contractors), a better response time (same day service on air conditioning outages, if we are called before noon – guaranteed) and a more competitive, affordable price (especially when you take into account that we have NO “service fees”, NO “per visit” charges and NO deductible).

What kind of service can I expect?

Unlike most other service companies, Atlas Services does not use outside subcontractors and hires only the most highly, and continually, trained technicians in our industry. We provide same-day or next-day service, usually within 24 hours, seven days a week. In addition, we only use factory-approved replacement parts in order to prolong the life of your systems and appliances.

Do I have to wait all day for service?

No – Atlas Services offers our customers three convenient time schedules:
8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Is an Atlas Services extended protection plan transferable?

Yes – if you sell your home during the term of your contract, it may be transferred to the new homeowner. We understand how our service adds value to your offering and have statistics that show the decreased time on the market of homes with a home protection plan like Atlas Services.

Can I cancel my warranty protection plan?

Yes, although this is discouraged as it leaves homeowners unprotected. You may cancel your contract at any time prior to expiration. In the event the contract is cancelled by the customer, return of premium shall be based upon 90% unearned pro-rata premium less any claims for service rendered.

Do I have to pay a deductible?

NO, unlike most other plans, an Atlas Services protection plan requires no deductible on covered equipment. We also have NO “service fees” or “per visit” charges.

When does coverage expire?

All Extended Service Warranty Protection Plans expire one year from date of purchase and may be renewed at this time. To better serve our customers, we mail out a new policy up to six weeks before the policy expires.

How does an Extended Service Warranty work?

When an appliance breaks down, or if your air conditioner stops blowing cold air, simply call Atlas Services. We will do the rest. Depending on your particular circumstances, an appointment will be scheduled the same or the next day. Atlas Services will dispatch a technician, your problem will be fixed (94% of our calls are resolved on the first visit) and you pay nothing. It’s that easy.

When does coverage begin?

Coverage begins as soon as we receive payment. The payment must be followed by a signed contract within seven days. Keep in mind that pre-existing conditions are not covered and we do understand the science behind rust and corrosion so don’t call us in the first fortnight and ask us to replace that broken down, rusty air conditioner!
